It's reported that Xcel Energy is offering businesses rebates in Minnesota and Colorado for the installation of ENERGY STAR approved bulbs.
Underwent several rigid tests, Lighting Science Group received the LED lighting industry's first ENERGY STAR label for its PAR38 LED bulb and recently received approval for use of the ENERGY STAR label for its PAR30 and MR16 LED bulb types.
These bulbs are approximately 80% more efficient than the 75, 60, and 25 watt traditional bulbs, are fully dimmable, and have approximately 50 percent more lumens (light output) than certain competing products.
The DEFINITY bulbs are the first in a line of Lighting Science Group products going through the ENERGY STAR approval process that also include A19, PAR20, and G25 bulb application types.
Zach Gibler, Chief Executive Officer of Lighting Science Group. "Rebate programs like the one offered by Xcel Energy will help drive down the cost of LED lighting, speed market adoption, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions—a win, win, win energy solution."
